Honest answers, before you book
FAQ
If your question isn't here, bring it to a complimentary consultation. There's no such thing as a silly one.
Part I
Before You Book
Does it hurt?
I use a topical numbing cream before and during your treatment. Most clients describe it as pressure or light scratching, more tedious than painful. Everyone is different, and I check in with you the whole way through.
Microblading, powder, or combo: which is right for me?
It depends mostly on your skin and the look you love. Microblading suits normal to dry skin and a feathery, hair-like finish. Powder brows suit most skin types, including oily skin, and give a softer, filled-in look. Combo brows blend the two: strokes at the front, shading through the tail. We decide together at your consultation.
What happens at the consultation?
A relaxed 15-minute call to talk through your goals, what I would recommend, pricing, and next steps. It's complimentary and there's no obligation.
I've had permanent makeup before. Can you work over it?
Sometimes. It depends on how much pigment is left and what color it has healed to. Send me a clear photo in daylight and I'll tell you honestly what's possible before you book.
Is there anyone who shouldn't get permanent brows?
Some situations mean we wait or check with your doctor first, like pregnancy, breastfeeding, recent Accutane, or certain health conditions. The full list is on my aftercare page. Tell me at booking if any apply; none of them are a problem to mention.
Part II
Your Appointment
How do you choose the shape and color?
Together, at your appointment. I measure and map the shape to your bone structure, and you see it drawn on before anything permanent happens. Color is chosen against your skin tone, your hair, and the finish you want.
How should I prepare?
Skip alcohol, caffeine, and over-the-counter blood thinners for 24 hours before, avoid retinol and exfoliants on the area for two weeks, and come with clean, makeup-free brows. The full list is on my aftercare page.
Do you take a deposit?
Yes. Booking your brows is held with a deposit that is credited toward your service. The amount and my rescheduling terms will be listed on my booking policies page.
Part III
Healing and Results
How long does it last?
Permanent makeup softens over time rather than disappearing. Most clients come back for a color refresh every one to three years, depending on skin type, sun, and skincare.
What does healing look like?
Your brows look bold for the first few days, then flake and can look too light around week two, then settle into their true shade over four to six weeks. That in-between stage worries everyone. It's normal.
Is there a touch-up?
Yes. A perfecting session after you heal fine-tunes the shape and color. I'll go over timing and cost at your consultation.
When can I wear brow makeup again?
Give your brows four weeks before any pencils, gels, or tints, and no plucking or waxing in that time either.
